Premium: auto-DM a live post's commenters
ExtensionPremium
- In Skool, open the post's
...menu and choose Auto-DM Commenters. - Write the DM. Type
#name#where you want the commenter's first name. - Tick Only DM commenters whose comment contains a keyword and type the word, for example
GUIDE. Capital letters do not matter. - Set a Duration in days, hours or minutes, or tick Forever.
- Click Start Auto-DM. You can close the tab. The menu now reads Edit Auto-DM Commenters and the dialog has Stop Auto-DM.
You end up with: Every new top-level comment containing your keyword gets your DM from the community owner's Skool account, with no copy and paste.
Works on Premium and up.
Skout quest
Earns Skout the Fishing rod.
Done when: An Auto-DM Commenters post has sent its first DM.
A Premium quest. On any Skool page, click Skout, then Quests.
Watch out
- Only top-level comments count. Someone who replies under another person's comment does not get the DM. Tell people exactly what to type.
- Forever means forever. A post still getting comments two years later still sends DMs, as long as the owner stays on Premium or VIP. Set a Duration unless you want that.
- The DMs go out from the community owner's Skool account. If the owner's plan drops below Premium the DMs pause, and people who comment during the pause are not DMed later.
- The do-not-contact list always applies, but you can only edit it on the Exclusions tab, which is VIP. The post-menu dialog on Premium has no exclusion controls of its own. Per-post exclusions live in the VIP composer.
- With Enroll in a sequence, post exclusions are checked once at enrollment. To stop someone already in the sequence, add them to the do-not-contact list.
- Skooly One has no version of this. It has no comment trigger, so it cannot auto-DM commenters.

Schedule a post in my community for Tuesday at 9am titled "My launch checklist" with the body: "I wrote the exact checklist I use before every launch. Comment GUIDE and I'll DM it to you." Auto-DM everyone whose comment contains GUIDE: "Hey #name#, here's the checklist: [link]. What are you launching?" Do a dry run first and show me the preview before you schedule anything.
